The Shine foundation is a non-profit independent organization established in 2017. We are delighted to announce the partnership with WHITE INK BOX HK to start a series of art and music development projects in Hong Kong in order to promote quality living by sharing through art and music.
Art and music are a universal languages; our aim is to unify people from all different backgrounds to promote harmony in society through sharing. We believe in empowerment and equality instead of sympathy. Life is beautiful and precious and we all deserve respect and need to be appreciated. This is especially true for the unprivileged young and old. For the past three years, the Shine Foundation has been regularly helping underprivileged school kids with learning difficulties and those with family distress through art therapy.The foundation has also organized festive events and reminiscence workshops with different art forms at elderly homes.
Hong Kong has been a very special place to be for many years. We are a vibrant city where all are welcomed and contribute together to make it a special place. The 2020 unexpected pandemic hit Hong Kong very hard challenging our spirit of openness and togetherness like we have never seen before. In WHITE INK BOX HK we want to bring out a message that regardless of one’s beliefs and background, we are all humans and should accept and care for one another.Acceptance is a skill we should continuously work on to create a harmonious society.
Together WHITE INK BOX HK and Shine‘s plan is to invite artists from different disciplines for monthly themed exhibits and activities including educational workshops and inspirational talks similar to the globally popular TED talk program. On top of this we will offer music performances /events/live shows to bring people together to simply share and enjoy our beautiful city and its people.
All proceeds after expenses will be donated to the Shine foundation to continue its mission to help unprivileged kids and the elderly. We encourage everyone to participate in our unique reverse 2 for 1 program where payment is made for 2 items and take 1 product to go leaving the other one behind for sharing with the unprivileged. We call this our “Special Sharing Sale”.
